Can you handle the challenge.... hunt hard but safe!!
I don't know how much this review is worth, but Dave Petzel at Field and Stream did a blog write up about the gaitors. He thought they were the best he ever used. I don't own Kenetrek products yet, but everyone I know who does says they are the best boots they have ever had; gaitors are probably just as well made.
i use the kenetrek ones.and really love them.funny story about gators.i was hunting with my cousin from west virgina on a late antelope hunt this year in wy.on about the 3rd day of seeing me putting my gators on in the morning he asked "why i wore snake chaps in the snow?arent all the rattlers sleeping this time of year?." after i told him that wy. has "snow vipers" and "ice mombas". we all had a good laugh. and then i explained what they were and why WE have them. i guess its a west coast thing.
thus far i've used a pair of sitka gaiters.. had the original mountain mimicry ones, & the buckle on the foot strap broke, and Sitka sent me a brand new pair with a new design and thus far, have been tough and have had no problems..
I like my Kenetreks....have not had a problem with them..some guys say they run small fyi!
New Kuiu are sweet...sitka are cool but $90...I like my Kenetreks for $40 if you get them on sale!
