IKIC is that a weimereiner in that pic? Mine has made three elk packs and two blood trails. Awesome mountain dogs! (until the snow flys)
A curse and a blessing how close they stay and faithful they are. I go to work and tell the dog to protect the woman and he will not leave her side until I get home. Does alright on the upland birds also, No thing more fun than watching a dog work mountain grouse and point them to get the owner an advantage on those cagey high mountain birds.
She is great with birds too. Just 100 yards up the hill from were we took the pics of my deer she jumped 30+ sage hen all grouped up in a brush pile. And a curse for my wife as well. When I'm gone she is on her heels every second.
Definitely one of my favorite threads!! Y'all have some great bucks!!! I love looking at all the pictures. Congrats to all of you!

Here are my three biggest that I have taken over the years. All Montana public land DIY.
That first one is agreat looking shoulder mount! huge three point!
Back in the days of film cameras... The roll of film was damaged (wet) on the pack out so I had to take a "action" photo the next year with it already mounted. The second was also film and it was -32 that day!!(look at the white patches on my face). The third is 2011 about 40 deg. and sunny with a light breeze.
I have posted this in other places but her eis my boy's first muley. Wyoming public DIY hunt. bigdeer5.jpg
