    OTC Elk

    Are there any good OTC elk oppurtunities with archery tackle in Oregon? Areas?
    Any info helps.

    Roosevelts or Rockies? There are good options for both. The limited entry draw units in Oregon are not really worth the time it takes to draw them but if you are willing to work harder than most others the OTC hunts have potential.

    I don't hunt archery but I know a few guys who do. They seem to take an elk every other year or so. Rogue and Dixon units are where they hunt. They come across a few cougars too.....fyi.

    There are plenty of opertunities OTC. Most of the state is that way, most of the limited draw units are that way due to hunting preassure not trophy potential. There are good bulls in any unit in the state, rain forest to desert, you choose. I usually hunt the Cascades less hunting preassure, lots of elk!
