I didn't do nearly as good this year as I normally do with my bow. I only ended up getting my antelope with my bow.. but I do feel like that's an accomplishment in itself since normally I get everything except my antelope with my bow! haha They are tricky animals to bow hunt!

Here's a story for ya. I shot a buck on public ground in CA opening weekend this year. After I put an arrow in him he went past another random hunter who also shot him. (Twice) The hunter was in his early 20's and after I found out the deer was his first with a bow I told him he could have the deer if he let me take a picture with it. I remember how happy I was when I shot my first buck with a bow and figured this was the best way to handle the situation at hand. Lets just say I made his season.

This was my first bow season. I had a deer, elk and antelope tag. Didn't fill any of them but I had more fun than I ever have while hunting and I always had fun so that's saying a lot. I got 1 good shot a spike on the last day of elk season. I screwed it up but I learned enough this year that I'm much more confident for next year. I just need to work on patients and being able to sit still for more than a few minutes.

T43- I agree. I learned a lot this year also. I definitely need to work on my patience as well but I really do feel a lot more confident for next year!
