    It's very cool to be able to glass good bucks from your lawnchair. Just north of you in Susanville the standard joke is "man.....there's as many good bucks walking down mainstreet as there are in the hills" You probably hear the same thing. Northern Reno area is a classic example of urban sprawl eating up winter range. Areas north of N. Virginia st. and Red Rock are a couple of examples of urban expantion into prime deer country.

    Yes for sure those are great winter range areas. Funny about what they say in Susanville, I have seen a few deer when passing through. It gives me the incentive to hike the hills after a good look at the winter range and see what's really up there.

    Are you from susanville? Lassen high is my alma mater. If that is spelled correctly, I did go to lassen so I have an excuse!

    That's funny....I graduated from Lassen High in "76", as best I can remember, reading, writing and spelling were not required to graduate.................staying on a horse long enough to pen cows WAS Anyway, we surely have some boottracks on some of the same mountains for sure......

    Absolutely. My dad graduated from there in 75. Last name is bertrand.
