Wow, This forum never ceases to amaze me here on Eastman's. I work at Apple Inc. I've been here since 1987 and I did not know about this yet . It does not surprise me as innovation here at Apple flies by quicker than I can type this note. Free for the iPhone app is a good price too. I think I'll have to get that one and try it out. I read recently you have the iPad now Bitterroot Bulls. I'm seeing they have a version for that as well although I'm just learning about it from what you just wrote. Thanks for the update!

I do have the iPad version. Typing this on my can't-live-without-it iPad 2 now. It is awesome.

They have a free version where you can download four tiles. It's an awesome app as far as land ownership it seems!! It doesnt name mountains or creeks though. At least I can't figure it out! This is the best map I have found though minus any identifying features.

Yeah it is more a trial version. Four tiles is small but might have me sold for the unlimited version.

I love the cabelas app for my iphone and I also like that you can turn it into a spot receiver. My butt gets lost too much so I can honestly say my iphone saves my life

Just downloaded the accuterra app for the iPad. Pretty amazed so far. Great detail. And you can switch from topographic to satellite imagery quickly.

I have had the cabelas recon hunt app since this past fall. Not overly impressed with it. My complaint is that it is not user friendly enough for me. Maybe that is saying something about me not the app though. I live on my iPhone for work and play. Love it

I bought the iphone after hunting with two guys that had them. My bb had no service most places we were while they did. The access to maps and GE was more than enough for me to decide. However my deciding factor was the wifi. Where i work i am gone two weeks at a time and the wifi allows me to use skype via the office sat internet and call home.

wow!!!! Thats sorta awesome, except my state wont allow electronics mounted to my bow.
If it did though, makes me wonder if I need to get a camo pocket protector to go with it!! lol.
Pretty cool though that it records!! What a shot that would be on film with the nice cameras the iphones support as it is.
