Mule deer tag ?

I drew a unit 38/9 elk tag , so my question is after looking through the G&F website i could not find a archery mule deer hunt code for this unit, I could only find a region y code, but it don't start till oct 15. Thanks for any help.

I'm pretty sure you should just apply for a General Season Region Y deer tag, and then hunt during the archery season. I think that you have to wait until the 2011 regulations come out to find out the exact dates that you can hunt deer with a bow. I looked at last year's dates and you could archery hunt from September 1-30. To find that info, roll your mouse over the hunting tab on the G&F website, and click on hunting regulations, and then deer seasons. Then scroll down a little bit to find out the valid hunt dates during archery season. Here is the link that I was looking at. Can somebody else confirm this? I haven't hunted there YET, but have looked at the regulations plenty.

I will probably PM you this fall once the season is over asking how you did because I was looking into doing that exact combo hunt next year!! Has anyone else done this combo or at least hunted unit 38 for elk or Region Y for deer?

Thanks NDHunter, I was looking at the draw odds for this region, it looks like I can get a tag as a second choice, save my points for another year, just have to figure out a way to not get a first choice tag. After the hunt we can talk.
