Picked up a subscription to Eastman's back on 2010 as I planned for my first hunt out West (IL guy here)...I have enjoyed every issue since - and fell in love with hunting out West...totally addicted actually.
The mountains draw me in - and so far the Elk are what I cannot get off my mind...although I hope to experience many other types of hunts in the future.
Wide open public land is so appealing coming from a part of IL where most of us typically hunt 20-40 acre farms...
Really enjoying the forum so far - I've got a lot to learn! Thanks for having me...

Welcome fellow Illinoisian (the only state to not have concealed carry). This site is the next best thing to putting boots down out west.
