I use a Winchester model 70 in .300 Win Mag w/ a Leupold 4x12 VXI . Its not anything special but it works for me, longests kill shot on elk was about 75 yrds the closest ,which is my biggest bull, was 28 yrds. I never seem to find any elk in open country, there always in the thickest stuff I can find. I hand load for it now but have killed all my previous bulls with 180gr Remmington Core-lok bullets. Wild set up huh! [ATTACH=CONFIG]28ATTACH]68[/

Remington model 7 in 7mm SAUM with 160gr Berger VLD
stainless steel Winchester model 70 300 Weatherby magnum with Leopould 3.5-10 50mm scope
Win. Mod. 70 30-06 for many years, always 180 gr. loads. Lately .300 Wby mag, 180 gr. loads also.
Ruger m77 MarkII in .300 win mag topped w/ leupold VX3 6.5-20x50lr 180 grain barnes ttsx It is heavy but it shoots!
My shoulder hurts after reading about all these super magnums being used.
The Browning A Bolt 300 win mag isn't bad to shoot at all with the BOSS on the end.
