Yep. There ya go. Let's hope they are hybrid and they kill them off. Chances are I bet they are wolves.
They have been here in Utah for a lot longer than most people think. Fish and Game don't want to say they have been here, but they are here. Out where I hunt elk, we have heard them howl at night for years. I have never seen them, but when they howl the hair stands up on the back of your neck, and I don't get much sleep that night.

Been hearing about them up above the gorge for years.... never hunt over there so i havent seen any! Lots of people are saying if the dwr says they arent here they must be coyotes so shoot em! hope i never have a run in with one though....

I have a few buddies that have been seeing tracks all over the Logan canyon area since 2001. I have never seen any but several have been killed just over the Ut/ID boarder. I live in Moab and have several people tell me that they have seen one hanging around the La Sals. Ut is caught in the middle of 2 bad wildlife decisions made over the last 20 years. Mexican wolf reintroduction and the Yellowstone/Idaho mess. Only a few more years and Utah will be faced with same fight that ID/MT/WY are going through.
Gama and fish not admitting they wolves are there? Would they actually lie about something like this lol. my personal opinion is that if a wolf isn't running for its life when it encounters a human we have a serious wolf problem. You don't see many coyotes staying around when they see a person, wolves should be the same way people should equal trouble to them. I read an article that said that even with the wolf seasons in idaho and montana the wolf population has went up this year. That tells me that a lot of wolves that were taken last year were in areas that the game and fish "didn't know they were there". Maybe whem a person says they seen a wolf they should actually listen instead of assume that they had misidentified the animal.
Game and fish departments sometimes deny the presence of certain species to avoid the headaches and beaurocratic problems that they bring with them. An example is the javelina up here in the White Mountains, we see them often, but GFC says they'r only found in the desert. Wolves are known to be in lots of areas that they are not "officially" recognized.
