Four more days. Although it's supposed to rain I can't wait. Rain just means there will be a few less people in the woods.

See a lot on private property as my son and I drive through to the public property. No luck getting one yet. Trying again this weekend.

Wow you guys. I need to get my butt to ca.
Turkeys, the feathered variety I'm speaking about, are so prolific out here in California these days. It's been a pretty good success in increasing their population in the state.
I can remember in the late 1980's it was more of a challenge finding one to hunt and kill or seeing them. Now days in some of the county land or foothills it's hard not to see them strutting around, especially these days in their mating season. It's fun hunting them in this time of the season. Calling them in and hearing them gobble as they come in. It's also fun when they come in silent. Ether way it's just a fun bird to hunt. Hope all of you hunting have a great turkey season ahead.

Just a few more hours to go. Good luck to all!
Well.......I didn't want to post any more live turkey pics before the season opens tomorrow but just couldn't resist this one. I guess turkeys don't know what a archery target looks like..........this tom just might be in trouble tomorrow morning
