I joined the Navy in 74, got out a few years later because my only options were the USS Forrestal or the USS Forrestal. Went to school for 8 years, worked as a strength coach for awhile, then went back in the Navy. I got tired of the politics involved at Div I schools, and the Navy offered basic flight school (only 8 weeks worth for my specialty), plus a chance to continue my profession. I retired in 2007.
