Elk PP Question

I know you have to pony up the cost of a permit even though you are only trying to buy a preference point. For elk, is it sufficient to put up the money for a cow tag, or do you have to put up the money for a bull tag to get a point that will work for a bull tag later?

As of last year the cost of an elk PP is equall to the cost of a cow tag, i havn't looked this year but it should be the same.

It's $354 plus $10 for a habitat stamp to apply for a point. You'll get all you're money refunded except
for the $25 processing fee and the $10 of course!

Follow up Question: When they refund your money, do they cut you a check or just reverse the charge on you credit card?
