wats your favorite muzzleloader setup for elk

I have a older traditions buckhorn 50 cal I'm going to be using , I'm converting it to a 209 primer . Thinking of using the t/c 320 gr maxi ball connical slug with that 209 black powder . I a new muzzleloader traditions pursuit pro xlt 28 in barrel thumbhole stock with a nikon 3-9 x 40 but its a tack driver and i have killed with it at 170 yds so I dont want to take the scope of it and put the open sights back on .
