    .338 Winchester fodder.

Howdy all. I just picked up a Tikka 338 Winchester Magnum today. I was wondering if anyone here had any good recipes? If anybody here is piloting a Tikka .338 MAg I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

    I am nuts about Tikkas, I don't have a 338 but I have a 30-06, a 243, and a 204 all Varmint Stainless models.

I have had super luck with the Nosler Accubond in the 30 and 243 cal Tikkas. Give it a try in your rifle.

The 165 Grain .308 Accubond shoots well enough out of my 30-06 to shoot in 1000 yard competition.

I have a tikka t3 in .300 win mag. I don't reload and have shot several commercial loads and it seems to like nosler partitions.

Well thank you for the input Edelweiss and buckbull. I appreciate it. I'm up to 4 Tikkas now.The first was a 22/250 in stainless.

It's gone now,but I've picked up a couple more the last while back.I'll be posting a little on them here later. Pretty darn good rifles and affordable too. Pretty darn good at any price actually. It's good to hear from a couple T3 folks.

    FYI TT,

Bell and Carlson is making medalist stocks for the T3 now!

Probably won't improve accuracy too much on the already great T3, but they sure have a nice feel to them.

I'll likely try one of the B&C stocks on the 338 just because I have one on my 300 RUM,and like the feel of it. I honestly like the T3 factory stock. It's not as "free floated" as I usually like to see a stock, but it aint bad either.

I have a Manners stock on my my 6.5x47 rebarreled Tikka, I recommend it whole heartedly. It is good enough that eventually all my rifles will wear Manners stocks.
