Long range bullets, what is everyone using?

That's quite a statement! I also disagree. The 168 Berger is plenty for deer but not enough for elk, in my opinion.

That's basically how it works. 300 grains is 300 grains and it has to go somewhere.

This doe wasn't shot with the Gen. 2, but it was a bullet with a similar construction; the 300 gr. SMK. The picture was taken on the exit hole side. Don't ask me how, but there were chunks of lungs all over the ground. The shot was straight through both shoulders; not anywhere near the lungs. I expect similar results with the Berger.

I used to think that until I spent a week reshooting everything I shot in Africa because of piss poor bullet performance from PMP 375 and 308 ammo. My ammo never made it to Africa.

That's actually my buddy's 338 LM. 700 action, Krieger barrel, GreyBull stock, Timney trigger

We had filled both of our buck tags that day and I had an extra doe tag so I just used his gun for the heck of it.
