I'm very confident at 50 yards, but if the conditions were right I would feel good on a 60 yard shot.

I am really confident out to 80 but to take a shot at. an animal that far there would have to be absolutely no wind. I like to practice out to 10080 yards just for fun. It make those 30-50 yard shots really easy.

I've never bow hunted big game other that whitetails so If i'm hunting with my stick bows, 20 - 22 yards is about it. If I'm using training wheels I'm confident at 40. My longest shot was at a broadside deer feeding at 47 yards, the shot was good and the deer didn't go far but I lost sight of the arrow before it hit and I worried for an hour that I had made a bad shot. I practice at long range and shoot at moving targets with recurves a lot too. When I'm deer hunting i set up in areas that will limit my shooting to ranges inside my comfort zone.

I went out to 100 yards for the first time yesterday. I ended up with a couple 5 " groups!

I watched Wydell make an 82 yd shot on TV last night. He took a 2nd shot, but both arrows hit. It seemed like it took forever for the arrow to get there.
