I mainly use my tikka t3 .300 win mag when elk hunting and it prefers nosler partitions. I tried to use barnes tsx but I just couldn't get them to group as well as the partitions.

I used the Barnes on elk last year in my 300 win mag and the all copper bullet did the trick!

165 Accubond in my 300 WSM at a bit over 3000 fps is what i am going with.

I use 168 grain Berger vld 7mm for deer, elk, and bear spot and stalk. Varmits too where legal.
