.257 Weatherby Mark V in .257 Wby mag.

Just got back from California for a short visit with my 94 year old Dad (who still wants me to take him hunting....thats another story!). One of my hunting friends was wanting to get rid of his Weatherby Mark V .257 Wby mag rifle. It has a Leupold 3 1/2 X 10 VX III 50 mm. It also came with 60 rounds Wby factory ammo, 300 rounds Wby once fired brass, RCBS dies and assorted bullets & powder. Rifle was made in Japan and is in like new condition. Couldn't pass it up (even tho I have a .25-06 Ruger M77), bought it for $950.00. Guess I'll be at the range tomorrow or Tuesday!

    Sweet man! My
Dad is rebarrelling his 25-06 to .257 weatherby mag. He dropped it off at the smith last week! I was in his reloading room today checking out all his brass for it. Ballistically speaking, it's a great cartridge! It sounds like you stole yours. Good job. Let us know how it shoots.

The gun by itself was worth what you paid for the whole lot of gear. Awesome grab.

Sounds like the trip visit and getting the rifle almost paid for itself. That sounds like a great deal to me at least.

Great gun, great cartridge. I think you will be very happy with your purchase. I have had one for about 12 years now and it is by far my favorite deer and antelope rifle. Unfortunatly I paid more for the gun than you did for the whole thing. Nice score CC!

Sounds like a great buy. My dad has an Accumark Mark V in 257 WBY. I use it as my backup rifle and to date it's killed my biggest mulie and biggest bull. Love the gun
