Polaris Ranger Side by Side

Does anyone out there have one of these? I just got one and I have to say... I am a bit concerned. My first couple of trips and I am covered head to toe in dust and I mean bad. I do have the cab on it with the doors off and i am wondering if it is beneficial to take it off.

I've only owned ATV's and loved them... Hoping I dont regret the "upgrade".

Hey Montana. My wife and I have the Yamaha Rhino side by side and LOVE it. We did install and aftermarket windshield and when that is up the dust will really swirl where we are sitting. For that reason, we mainly keep the windshield folded down unless there is rain or its a really cold morning.

That's exactly your problem. I have one and broke my windshield on a hunting trip, I had the back window thingy on and a roof with no doors, I also was covered with dust, I took off the back window thingy so all I have on it now is a roof and it is fine now. I love my ranger. It is a true work horse.

The windshield in mine did the same thing. It creates a wind tunnel for dust.

When I first bought my Ranger, the windshield and Bimini top had to be ordered. I took it out hunting and the first trip I had a inch of dust in the bed, and it came in the cab bad. I have a 3/4 windshield and a bimini top with roll down back window (no doors). I don't have a problem with dust in the cab or in the bed now, unless I roll down my back window. I think without the back window it lets the air flow through instead of swirling inside.

My buddy's has the windshield in his but also has the top and back. His is a Rhino. He also bought and installed a Dust kit that seals up the under carriage to help with dust. Doors are stock with no windows on the sides. Not to bad for the dust

we have this at work and I love it. A diehard machine that get the Pisa beaten out of it. We drag power poles into remote locations and whatever other gear we need. Very reliable and tough machine.

Only trouble with side x sides is that around here they are too wide for most of the ohv trails. The Forest Service has a width restriction of 44" on most of the legal ohv trails.

In MT. we unfortunately dont have too many trails designated to off road only.
