Montana general elk combo tag

A buddy and I drew a Montana deer/elk combo tag. We will be hunting deer close to Square Butte, we are looking for suggestions on hunting elk within 75 miles or so of the Square Butte area. Any suggestions?

About the only general elk hunting close would be the Little Belts. Every thing else by special draw.

Thanks for the info. The area we deer hunt we've tried to draw that area for elk, many some day.
