Idaho whitetail

I need some help. I have never hunted whitetail in ID but have wanted to for years, hopefully this year. If any of you guys up north could help it would be great. Maybe some good general areas to go, hunting methods, best time of year and just what to expect. I'm not to picky about size for first hunt.

From the McCall zone west of it and north you can find just about any size whitetail you want. Stick to the river beds and ranches. Get to know a few ranchers and get permissions to hunt their areas early on in the seasons. I have found them up above 8000 feet also, although its the exception not the rule when looking for them.
