    Length of Season-Wyoming Unit 74

Looks like 74 opens September 15th. Does anyone remember if this is a 30 day season. Usually they are and close just before Deer season opens. Unit 90 (Deer unit that 74 is in) opens Oct. 1. I am hoping Antelope closes in 74 somewhere after the 6th of Oct. Seems like I remember hunting it several years ago around the 10th of Oct.

I finally drew my Colorado unit 3/301 buck Antelope tag with 12 points and it opens October 6. I have enough point and have applied for 74 for Antelope and want to combine both hunts. The Colorado unit is right on the way home and would be great to do both on one trip.

Thanks...I figured the seasons are usually around a month long. Should work out just fine. I usually don't hunt goats in the early part of the season, a little too many hunters to suit me. Just have to look harder for a good one thats all. Sure glad i got my Colorado tag, after 12 years. Area 3 is really a good unit in Co.

They actually have the new 2012 regs for antelope on line. They cut the tags in that unit from 325 tags in 2011 to 250 this year, so it will probably be a tougher draw this year. Here is the link to the regs.

Checked them out, you are right. I have 6 pts & my hunting pard has 2, so we avg 4. hope that is enough.

Correction...checked with my hunting partner and he has 3 so we avg 4 1/2.

All packed and heading out at 4:00 AM tomorrow morning. We will be filling our 3 tags apiece (a buck & 2 does ea) and on the way back staying in Baggs so I can hunt my long awaited Colorado unit 3 buck antelope tag. Probably be gone a couple of weeks.

Tomorrow by this time we should have camp all set up and enjoying a couple of steaks off the BBQ and a bit of good sippin whiskey!!

You are welcome to hunt my 40 in unit 74 ! Right where Poison Spider Rd. going west ends facing Rattlesnake Hills (sounds scarey).
