Tent and Bag for High Country October Hunt

I need to get a sleeping bag and tent for hunting above 10,000 feet in October. Looking for suggestions and advice on what degree bag to get and how sturdy of a tent I will need. After looking at tent size I'd like to get a two person tent but wanted to see if guys are comfortable with a solo tent.

I'm looking for some insight on the type of weather I should expect to encounter. So if there is anyone that hunts/camps up high let me know how bad of weather is typical and I what equipment you use. The area is Northern Utah.

Above 10000 ft in northern Utah towards the end of october I would bring a quality 4 season tent just in case. I would also consider a 0* bag and a pad with a high R value like the DM 9 If it's the first week you might be able to get away with a lighter setup.

I like using a 2 person tent. Alot more room for not much more weight.

I live in Northern Utah at the base of the Uintahs. Like was stated before, you may have 80 degree temps in Oct. during the rifle hunts, or you could have 2-3 feet of snow. I would plan for the worse just in case. If I am staying out that time of year I have a three season tent, and a 0 degree bag when it is cold.

I appreciate the insight. Sounds like a 0* bag and 3 or 4 season 2 person tent. 3 season might be better just in case it is a hot year.
