Was out shed hunting this weekend in eastern montana near harlowton. Came across a couple of year old whitetail sheds but nothing fresh. Put on about 6 miles and nothing was fresh that I found. Have had a couple of buddies pick up some fresh whitetail sheds already but no word on elk or mulies.

I hope elk start dropping by next week! Im going to be home for 2 weeks cant wait, getting pretty excited.

Well just got back from shed hunting and found nonething;the snow is still to deep.had a fun hike.

I've picked up over 50 so far this year. All the bulls around here are still pack'n. Watched a group of 29 this morning and they all had both sides. Usually not till 1st or second week of april for elk. I'll post some picks soon.

Did you guys read in the Missoulian that a few guys were picked up sneaking onto the Clearwater WMA. They had roughly 60 sheds with them....estimated to be half of the anticipated amount. They're not charged yet but being questioned.

Hopefully they won't just get a slap on the wrist! People that do that, and trespass really tick me off!!! Way to wreck it for the people who actually pay attention to the laws. The same as poaching, if you ask me. Take their hunting licenses away!!!!!!!!!!!!

clear water trespasser's have been sneaking into the range every year. This year the most, with the economy this way. The local taxidermist in Missoula had the authority's take away a couple dozen elk shed's that were stolen of the range this year. i bet 140 + or - shed's were taken out. sad story.
