Ya same up there. You are not allowed to off-road anyting like ATV's, even for a simple extraction. Although my partner visited a few of the company's offices and got written permission to use an ATV to retrieve a moose should we get one. In the end it was the timber company's skidder that hauled mine out! Didn't need a paper for that.
Just picked up my moose mount from the taxidermist and celebrated by brewing some moose chili for the Bears/Packers game. Bears knocked out Aaron Rodgers and won too!
Looks good Zim!
Check this out. NH still issues the old school metal check station tags. I saved mine. It's stamped 2012 NH Moose #073. I thought this was really cool.
Anybody know of any other states that still issue these?
Nice mount Zim! I know Alaska had those metal tags many years ago, but probably no longer.
Grand Slam #1005 + 2: Dall (1986 Yukon), Fannin/Stone (1987 Yukon), Bighorn (1988 Colorado Unit S-26), Stone (1995 British Columbia), Desert (2001 Nevada Unit 161), Bighorn (2009 Wyoming Unit 5)
The taxidermist put a metal tag on my bull elk when I dropped it off. It's not the same as the type of metal tag that's on my moose mount. I live in WY
Congrats again on your bull Zim. The mount looks awesome!
