What time of year to go?

If you were going cow elk hunting in Wyoming and had your choice of the first week in November or the last week in december when would you go and why?

102 or unit 104. We would be camping out. Another question is can you bring firewood with you? I'm pretty sure you can't but just wanted to ask.

I'd call the local Biologist and the GW for that area. I got some awesome info from the GW in WY in the past. Those guys are out there a lot and coupled with some hunter info from here, you should get the anwsers you need to be successful.
thinking about buying a left over cow tag myself if I can get a friend to share the expensives.
    Good Luck on your hunt.
