    Area 15 Mule Deer

I have a friend who drew this tag and has never been to the area before. Does anybody have any good tips for him?

Do you mean 015? And is it a rifle tag or bow tag?

I know the area well. There are some great deer hunting there. You need the snow to get the bucks moving. Look to the west of grass valley Rd up to Round Mt. I met a kid that works for NDOW in my hunting area and it's looking worse then we thought. Population is down, body weights are down 30% from last year and most of the does have one fawn and the majority of them have no fawns. The bucks he has seen are 4 years old and low horn growth. It really sucks this year. The snow can help get the deer moving and there are some mega bucks around but far and few between but they are there. Good luck!!!!

I went out last weekend and the growth didn't look bad in 162 just south of there.
