Would anyone be so kind as to recommend an OTC Colorado elk unit in the NW portion of the state? I've hunted unit 22 with no luck and was thinking about unit 4. Any unit suggestion would be appreciated.

Is that new this year? I'm looking in my 2011 regs and unit 4 is OTC second season unlimited rifle.

Yeah, i was talking about archery. I've never tried rifle hunting elk, so i never looked. When they changed it for archery a bunch of years ago, i didn't know until a i got there!

So have you archery hunted unit 4 and if so did you see elk and like the unit?

It's been quite a few years. I guess about 10. Haven't been there since.
There were quite a few people around(archery). If you went deep you could find some elk.
