    Elk area 63 64

Hey guys me and my dad drew tags this year. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of where I could start looking for some elk. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I saw a bull that was real close to 300" in 64 last november. He was the only elk that I saw after hunting for 6 days.

I just came off the mountain last week and the Elk herds are still up high in 63/64 but they also were large. We saw 300-400 head in the upper areas and even saw a few down on the river beds on the way out too. If the weather holds like it is they will probably stay up high and if so, drop me a note and we can slide you into one of our outfitting packages at the last minute probably, to make sure you get your dream Elk. The bulls we saw were looking massive with their velvet on and checking out other reports our area is in the top 2 list of places this year so trophy on is what we will bugle

Hey guys I also drew this tag and was trying to find some info on this unit. I don't want any secret areas just a place to start. I plan on hunting it with a bow to try and scout some more and see what I see and then I will rifle hunt if I dont get anything. I want to do it DIY and will have access to horses. So any help will be very useful.
