I know this has been talked about but I still am looking for some advise on how to keep the velvet while hunting the early season in the backcountry. Eastman's has some great shows showing some awesome bucks being killed in velvet and I keep waiting to see a article from the crew at Eastman's on how they prep their bucks shot in the velvet or what they do with them. I have seen some bucks shot that have had the fake velvet applied to the horns and they have turn out okay. Is this what everyone else is doing?
