where to start for first deer/ elk combo tag

i drew a deer/ elk combo tag. now we are looking at where to go, been trying to get as much info as i can. went to WY last year mulie hunting and north dakota a few years ago. never had the chance to hunt elk yet, so this will be first. options are still open but im wondering if we should go to custer np, or we should try little belt or the crazy mtns. concerned with hunting pressure in custer. we were planning on going the week before thanksgiving so im wondering if we get a lot of snow will the deer still be on public or lower on private in little belt or the crazies. mule deer are the main objective with elk being a bonus. Any help would be much appreciated.

What is physical ability? The Crazies are tough to hunt and most of the elk are on private with very little access being allowed to diy hunt. The east side is almost impossible to hunt because it is land locked for the most part. Very little block management. The custer is for the most part I believe special draw only areas. The little belts are your best bet out of the three. But all three areas are going to have large amount of hunters. As far as for mule deer, custer would be the top choice in a good year but this year a fire went threw there and burnt out most of the country. Well two fires and the area is pretty drought stricken so if trophy hunting this may not be the year there. Crazies on the west side do produce some nice bucks, but once again getting to them is going to be hard. The little belts have some nice deer but due to the water situation there they are few and far between. The public land there gets hit pretty hard due to the fact that access is so easy.
