    What is this? Looks like a wallow but seems to big

    New to elk hunting and while out in the woods I found this. Not sure what it is.

    deff is and will be used as a wallow. looks like greqt elk country too. is there alot of cattle in that area? looks like a huge cattle path leading to a water source. u shouls set up a game cam, if its isolated u may have found your self your own little honey hole.

    It looks like it could be a wallow or even mineral lick.

    I have seen some wallowed areas quite a bit bigger than that. Did it smell like elk?

    I didn't see any cattle in the area and no signs of cattle. there is a stream running near the far mountain. There is no stream or signs of a stream running from this area. It did smell a lot like elk. It is very isolated. The entire area to the right of it is very soft with a lot of water.

    Find all the trails leading to that area, and keep an eye on them.
