Welcome. I'm one of the newer guys also. Lots of good info and tons of experiences to read about in this forum. Shout out if you ever look to come to Alaska, I like to help out good ethical hunters! Weather permitting I'll be out of town tomorrow for a moose hunt...my wife has a good tag.

Welcome to the forum Caseyu !
I just got back last week from Ca. antelope hunt in the Big Valley hunt. It was within the X3A deer zone. towns of Bieber and Adin. saw lots of deer and nice bucks. What town do you live in ? Met a guy in Susanville who hunts X4 often. this morning he sent me a pic of a nice 3x3 w/eyegaurds he got with bow. His wife has an X4 rifle tag. two yrs. ago he sho a 6x7 25 1/2 in. buck with rifle in X4.
I'll try to post a pic of the buck from two yrs. ago. Maybe my techno friend Muleys 24/7 will do it for me... D0 you have a tag for any of those areas this year ?

Welcome. I love the Taylorsville area! Man I've seen some monster Black tails in the valley. There has been some huge fires around the area in the passed and I think it will be a great hunting area now with all the new grasses then it has been in the passed.

Thanks everybody. And I actually work on a helitack crew out of Bieber. I live in susanville I drew a late archery ruby mountain tag in Nevada this year. So I only put in for point for ca because the hunt I want overlaps with the Nevada tag. Were you successful with the antelope tag? I wish I joined up sooner. Flying around in a helicopter for four years gives you some great orientation to the land and a ton of hunting spots. Haha

    Hey Caseyu,
Yeah, I shot an antelope. Wasn't a monster but he's ok. A friend there shot a book goat. Go to antelope section and you can see and read about both. The fires near there were bad. Smoke in the afternoon bothered my eyes and lungs. Do you know Dave Zman in Susanville ? He's the guy who shot the bucks in X4 I mentioned. Game biologist Richard Shinn and Inviro Scientist Joe Hobbs from F&G were good help also. Good luck on your Nv. tag. A great tag indeed.
