    headed to unit 69 on the 9-5-12

    just wanted to say good luck to all you guys and thank you for all the help full info this summer ,I'm headed out on the 5 with a cow tag and a mule deer buck tag whoo hooo cant wait , I will post all pics when I return . I'm hoping for a good hunt this is my first yr going to the high country but I'm going every yr from now on .

    Did you have any luck? I was in 68 wiht a type 9. something had the bulls and cows quiet. We got in a group of them and they didn't make a sound. The bulls were extremely quiet.

    well I got my first elk a small cow ,I had a blast we got on bulls 4 days in a row just couldnt get them to come in range < its official I'm a elk aholic now.

    Very nice. I felt that way the first time I hunted turkeys when I lived in Ohio and a turkey gobbled close to me. Then I had an elk bugle at 7 yards. Game on.... 8-) Congratulations on your elk. This year my wife got a a 2 ft spike and my son (13) got a 6x6. I have cows to my name but not bulls yet.
