Colder weather on the way! Hopefully!

Not sure how everyone is doing out there with the hot weather, but it seems like the elk are completely out of whack. Opening weekend was awsome, and since then it has been rather depressing. Looks like we might finally get some relief from mother nature in the middle of next week. Can't wait to see some moisture and possibly snow. Has the elk rut been slow for anybody else's area?

Been real slow here in southern Wyoming. I called in a bull Monday morning but he never even bugled. I had a couple other bulls talking but nothing real exciting. Just a little late this year. I was hoping to get out this weekend but I think work just got in the way.

I also had a great first weekend and then very slow after that until this weekend, this weekend was amazing tons of bugles and lots of nice bulls . Just couldn't get close enough for the bow, still was a blast.

Well they are calling for a few inches of snow tonight and tomorrow so I made the exec. decison, and am taking the rest of the week off. Only 2 1/2 more hours at work, and then 6 days of hunting.
