Just returned from our first western hunt...... 'hook, line, sinker" is an understatement! We saw over 200 lopers a day and had plenty of bucks to choose from. I shot mine on our first stalk, 2.5 hours later I had a dandy on the ground. We glassed a herd with 4 bucks and 6 does move along the river to a pocket in the granite mountains. We made a move on them, climbing up the mountain and I scored on a 400 yd shot with a .308. Really happy with him, 14" with 7" prongs. It was an awesome hunt, and to experience it with my dad and brother made it even better. Another neat part of the hunt, while preparing for the shot, two of the bucks started sparring, then a huge coyote ran out and circled the herd, checking for a weakness. All added to the experience.

The following day my dad scored on his buck. After chasing a potential book buck, he settled for a 13" that presented a good shot opportunity. Another fun stalk and we saw tons of goats.

After tagging out we experienced some the best coyote hunting ever in the desert and in the green mountains, while scouting for elk and muleys. All in all the trip was nothing short of perfect and I look forward to returning ASAP. Thanks to all that provided incite and helped me set this up!
