For those of you that have hunted this unit during 2nd season would you recommend hunting the eastern side or western side of the unit, and why. Right now I am leaning towards the eastern side of the range. Most of these drainages run east/west or in a southeasterly direction. Love to hear some opinions.

I would hunt the S.W. side unless you want to head up in the West Elks.

One thing for sure is that it looks like the weather will still be pretty warm and dry. 70's/ 30's.
