    eastern newbies...unit suggestions appreciated!

4 of us are headed out for our first elk hunt ... wilderness at that! i am looking at units 14, 15 and 231 to hunt the wilderness areas... hoping to avoid 4 wheelers and crowds and get into elk. surfing the forums i find the are alot of folks everywhere. are our goals realistic? we will be hunting the first 3 weeks of the season.

what about the flat tops unit 24 (23/24/33)? if i read it correctly no points are required but it is still a draw. odds seem pretty good to draw even for out of staters.

thanks, the more i read, it seems you just have to get back further than most to find the elk no matter where you go. 1st trip out we just want to find elk, they don't have to be huge.
