Just like most manufacturers there are the price points and the alphas. Some lack in areas where others shine. The price point of the ed50 alone puts it in a league of its own. And justifiably so.

I have the ED50 but for your budget you should consider the big brother 20-60 X 60 ED Fieldscope. Of course it is bigger, a downfall, but will perform better.
