Ya no doubt. NDOW doubled tags this year and with only two mountain ranges to hunt it was crowded. I will say we did better then most.

The sad part is its slim pickins now. And the late seasons have yet to begin. Hopefully they know what there doing with the tag increases...

I don't know how they can think that this increase in tags can be good for the deer quality. But I am with you I hope they don't screw the trophy quality by this. I hope they know what they are doing too.

I keep gettin emails and texts of spikes and forkies. We may not feel the effects of what they did as far as tag numbers next year. But give it a few years and were going to be searching high and low for quality deer.

And lets hope this winter is as mild as last year. The last thing we need is a harsh one. It will be the straw to break the camels back.

Congrats on the buck! A buddy and I were there in august hunting and my buddy said the size and numbers of the deer were down from2 years ago when he was there. My buddy ended up getting his and I shot over mine. People in town said it was way dryer than usual. Anyways way to make the most of it and at least you have some meat in the freezer!!

congrats! +1 to lack of quality bucks this year. I experienced it in August and can't count the number of stories I have heard from close friends this week about how tough it has been this year.

I know. We dropped it off to Wade this morning. Jeff the guy that killed the buck decided to have him mounted and put him in his office at work. He was going to give Wade the cape but changed his mind. Wade pays good money for high quality NV Capes too.
