i'm going back into D7 backcountry again in Sept with family, we'll see how it is now. Havn't been there for 8 years.

Not sure if you were the one I told, but anyway, my Grandpa was born in Stevensville. My GG Grandmother was a Metcalf, Lee Metcalf (former US Senator from Montana) was my Dad's cousin. We almost retired there, but my wife said it was too cold in the winter...ha. Gramps always said it was the banana belt of Montana! Right now I'm looking at 6" of snow still on the ground....go figure.

the high d-zones are so much fun. The scenery is awesome, the people tend to thin out the farther back in you go. I'm going to hit d5 and d6 again this season. Hopefully wait out for something bigger, well see.
