I had spotted this gut the night before with another bull that was sticking together. It was around 9 am the next morning before I made to same ridge as them. One bull had been bugling all morning in the same spot so i decided to make a move. I got with in 50-60 yards of the bull and could not see him although he kept screaming. Just taking my time I heard rocks tumbling down the hillside, I looked back to see this guy chasing a cow down the same trail I was on. The cow came within 5 yards and got spooky as she could not figure out what I was, the bull had no idea I was there. The cow jumped off the trail to side step me, the bull stopped as if to try to figure out why she doing that, he turns and bugles again and catches my fmj quartering away. I dropped to the ground in excitement and unbelief that really just happen?? Not only that it was my 30th birthday haha. Birthday Bull!

Nice bull and good story. I bet the 5 yard cow got the blood boiling. Its always the females that try mess things up for us fella's.
