I was up scouting deer for a friend this morning and my dog got sprayed by a skunk. I've heard of most of the wives tails but has anyone had this happen and used Somthing that actually works? Thanx. The ride home is gonna suck in my jeep.

You can usually buy shampoo for a skunk sprayed dog. I got some at Walmart when I had that problem and it worked for me. My dad just let's his dog go roll in cow poop for a few days and its usually gone too... Lolgood luck on your car ride home. Hope your windows roll down!
Thanx Jen. When I got those the wife had the Vinager, tomato juice, and Dawn dish soap ready to go. She of corse Googled it and so we tried it. It worked! The Vinager neutralized in stank and the dawn washed off the oils. The tomato juice was to spray in her mouth to get the taste and smell out of her mouth. I told my wife it wouldn't work and to get some shampoo from pets mart. I was proven wrong once again!
1 qt Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup Baking Soda
1 tsp scented Dish soap
I've used the stuff you can buy from the Vet (or Walmart), and I've used the above concoction (more than once). The above recipe seems to work the best IME. You must mix it and apply right away. There is no pre mixing and storing this, as it produces a pretty good chemical reaction.
Well now I have to back up a bit. After we tried what I said she didn't smell. Now that she is dry the smell is still there. Not as bad but bad enough. Ill try your suggestion whisky.
That sucks bro,![]()
Ya. And she isn't a weiner dog DR! So no shaving! Hahhahahahha. Inside joke
wiemariner, weiner, same thing! Hahahahahahaha
I absolutely positively 100% guarantee this. Over the years between me and my bird hunting buddies have had to deal with this dozens of times.
Listerine.
Don't get it in your eyes or the dogs, pour it on, use wash rag to slither around, rinse off with hose and IT'S GONE!
Simple but perfect every time.
