    Larry,

You can camp on BLM land. Thats what I did. Town was over 40 miles away and I didn't want to drive that distance each day there and back.

Dam nice buck ! Congrats !
Hey, I drew an area 125 deer tag with no points in regular draw. If I read it right , out of the 125 tags, 12 were no res. with 2 of them random draw.
    I'm a random type guy I guess.

I'll have 2 pts going in next year for lope . I burned them in 2010. My son and I both took bucks. Mine was an odd ball. His horns went straight up vertical. Was 14 1/2 in. and decent mass but his prongs were short and broken. I had one that was laid out flat/horizontal so I had to have Mr. Vertical. 444 yds. I think there's a picture of him on somewhere on the thread "Big Valley antelope" or something like that. The Ca. antelope buck I shot in Aug. had good mass and prongs but was only 13 1/2 tall. I had the cape from him on ice and to taxidermist within 21 hrs.. It had a diease in one ear, I forget what he called it. The tannery called him to tell him almost all the hair came off the ear. I was bummed. I wanted to mount him above my Ca. bighorn. Now, just on a placque...

thx fish, let's just put it this way, a lot of luck was involved. If you do this often enough, once in a while you should get lucky. I'm 51 now...came to CO in 83. I hope no one has to wait as long as I did for some help from above.
