I would look hard at the Barnes solids. Your twist rate will probably have a hard time with 7mms as light as 120 grs.

Even Barnes tsxs aren't going to cause a lot of pelt damage typically, if you aren't fragmenting a lot of bone.

Hey squirrel tail, not trying to talk you out of using your 7 mag for coyotes but thats a lot a gun for bust"n dogs. BB is right, you could go with solids and not loose many hides. In the meantime, keep your eyes open for a .223, very economical to shoot weather you hand load or purchace loaded ammo. Also lots of surplus fmj's out there. For coyotes I use both, a 22-250 and .223. Believe me, the . 223 is a 250 yrd coyote buster all day long...........

You can't go wrong with the 22-250, it's probably my favorite all-round coyote gun. In the 70's and 80's we were getting up to $70.00 for a good coyote hide. The pail hides were bringing more $ than the darker hides. The fur buyer was out of Moscow Idaho, don't know if there still in buiseness.
