Any Okies out there hunting. My nephew killed this one tonight. He has 17 points, they are starting rut pretty good right now here in South-Central, Oklahoma. Muzzleloader ends tomorrow, so it will be back to good ol' bow hunting for the next two weeks until rifle!

I know what you are saying, he just turned 14. He has been hunting & fishing with Dad & I since he was 4. He has killed alot of deer, turkey, pheasant & small game. This is his best buck by far! I just hope my kids all love to hunt & fish as much as him. I keep them envolved. My oldest daughther is all about archery, she could care less about a smoke pole or rifle. My youngest daughter likes to go but more into sports. My oldest son goes with me just about everytime I'm out! He is 6, probably will start him deer hunting next year. Then my 3 year old son will be next, hopefully he will be just as interested. Well gotta run, today is the last day of muzzleloader.

Wow that is a great buck. I would have been ruined if I killed one like that when I was 14. Congrats to your nephew!

Sounds like you are passing the hunting genes on to several generations. I am sure this won't be the last post we see from your family involving trophy animals. Nice work.
