A buddy and myself are thinking about applying for Wyoming archery elk unit 41/42 for 2013. We"ve never bow hunted for elk before or this area period. Is this a pretty good area for first time bow hunters ? We don't mind to pack back in to get away from crowds. We live about 2000 miles away from there. We won't be able to do any scouting until about 3 days before season comes . I'll probably be having some questions later on how to properly read a topo map correctly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
