    Cactus remedies

Anyone have any? Apparently yesterday while I was setting the rest of my traps, I rolled around on a bunch. I mean, it is EVERYWHERE! They're not real long and I'm having trouble getting the pieces out with tweezers.. And there some places I can't reach! It hurts and is rather unpleasant. Haha

I know with work we tend to get fiberglass on us and its unpleasant. If the fibers from the cactus are as small a super cold shower may help. Closes the pores of your skin and helps bring the object to the surface. Good luck. I had it happen on the top of my head once. It was a royal biotch for weeks. Everytime i put a hat on i found more.

You could also try to wax it?

Jen, I got an ass full of catcus when I rolled over to finally make my shot after a lengthy hands and feet crawl. I pulled as many as I could but the majority of them only came out by theirselves over time. A long time! I learned to sit on only one cheek at a time.

I could try the waxing.. That might work for my legs.. But like BKC I'm not sure how well it would work on my butt! Lol. It's just very uncomfortable to walk.. Or sit.. Or anything. Blah.

    Thanks guys!

When I get fiberglass slivers at work, I grab good old duct tape. Sometimes that will pull them out. Might hurt in some places though!

Lol! It might hurt a little less than waxing though! I got some of them out.. I still have a bunch in there though. I was hoping they would magically fall out..

Jen I was over hunting antelope/deer with a couple buddies years ago when my grandmother was still alive. My one buddy Don was at the house that evening and was mildly complaining about all the cactus he had in various parts of his body such as his butt, knees, elbows, well you get the point. Grandma just finally told him to quite his whining, they will fester up and come out! And they do. Sorry that really is not much help is it!!

Tough old gals weren't they!! Somehow I imagine Miss Bickel is a trooper herself! I'm glad you could see the humor in it.
