    Colorado GMU S9 Bighorn Tag

Hello all, the clouds parted and there is a Colorado Bighorn tag on the way. Given that they are a bit scarce to say the least, I have little information on hunting sheep and wanted to see if anyone has any experience or information on GMU S9. Any help is greatly appreciated in making the most of what appears to be a once in a lifetime opportunity here in CO. Many thanks in advance.

Thanks much Drhorsepower. I've been a subscriber and MRS member for quite some time but I've spent more time reading than posting. However, this hunt has me needing more information than I currently have and I know there are some folks with an amazing amount of knowledge on sheep hunting. I appreciate the welcome and look forward to hearing from everyone.

Hey CoHiCntry, S9 sits south of Salida between Crestone and Westcliffe.

I'm not real familiar with that area. Good luck, should be a great hunt!

    Congratulations on the tag!
You should check in with RMBS at http://bighornsheep.infopop.cc/eve/forums
Plan on going to the Sheep and goat orientation for good information about sheep as well as information specific to your unit. Information on the orientation should come with the tag.
I am not familiar with S9, but I know many others in the RMBS are.

    Good luck
